ISSA member countries reach 60, Uruguayan sculpture symposium joins for the first time

Recently five sculpture symposiums have been approved as new members of the International Sculpture 

Symposium Alliance, including the first sculpture symposium in the South American country of Uruguay, 

which has become the 60th member of the Alliance. 

Uruguay sculpture symposium is located in the city of Punta del Este, a famous South American resort, 

this event has been held for three consecutive times. Also the Hui'an Sculpture Festival, which started 

25 years ago and is one of the most important sculpture events in China, join the alliance. The city of Hui'an is 

also the United Nations World Capital of Sculpture. The other three sculpture symposiums were from India, 

the Netherlands and Georgia. Since then, the Alliance now has 143 affiliates from 60 countries.
