ISSA Netherlands / Sculptural Landscapes in City Parks

The first Lingezegen sCULpTUUR International Sculpture Symposium and ISSA Netherlands, was held in 

Lingezegen Park in the eastern Dutch town of Elst. The move was to add more tourism elements to the area.


The sculpture, made of Belgian blue marble, is three meters high and features artists from five countries on 

four continents: Oscar Aguirre Comendador (Cuba), Anna Korver (New Zealand), Klaus F. Hunsicker (Germany),

 Ikram Kabbaj (Morocco), Jorg Van Daele (Belgium).

Elst is a town in the municipality of Overbetuwe in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in 

Overbetuwe, between the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen, and has 22,509 inhabitants. The town is famous

 for its Roman temple under the church of St. Martin.


 The Lingezegen Park is a 17 square kilometer park of beautiful landscapes that offers plenty of space for

 people, agriculture, nature, culture and water.
